St. Mark joined with Ministry In Mission, a Recognized Service Organization of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS), to help provide relief supplies for hurricane relief. St. Mark members loaded the St. Mark church bus, “Prayer Force One” with palettes of freeze dried food, bags of pet food, diapers and cleaning supplies. On Wednesday Sept. 6, the bus headed south to Caldwell Ohio and delivered the supplies to The Harp Mission,(HARP) a service organization recommended by Rev. Terry Cripe, Ohio District President of the LCMS. HARP is sending semi- trucks to the Houston area and coordinating the deliveries with Disaster Response of the LCMS.
St. Mark is also having special collections for Hurricane relief over three Sundays and will send these funds to LCMS Disaster Response.
