On Saturday Feb 17, 2024, St. Mark members along side members of Trinity Lutheran Ohio City, (TOC) and St. Peter’s , Shaker Heights, served home made Chili and corn bread along with delicious white cake, decorated with bible verses, to the homeless and disadvantaged residents of the local neighborhood.
Rev. Mark Matzke, St. Marks Senior Pastor, gave a message based on 1 John 3:16.
This is the first lunch that St. Mark has served at TOC, usually dinner is served but with the cold weather many of those we serve have to be in warming shelters for the night by 5pm, so lunch seemed more practical.
St. Mark members also brought donated canned goods and other staples to help supply the Trinity Food Bank and clothing for the TOC clothing ministry.
