Trinity Lutheran, Ohio City
Project Leader: mark@rychel.com
Our support for this Lutheran congregation on West 30th street in Cleveland began in 2007 when one of St. Mark’s members was a board member of Building Hope in the City, which is a group dedicated to strengthening urban-based churches. TOC offers traditional and contemporary worship in a neighborhood which is experiencing exciting revitalization, and they have well-established social ministries for the homeless and disadvantaged in Cleveland. What makes our relationship strong is that we work alongside them on THEIR programs.
Volunteer Opportunities
•Join us on the 2nd Saturday of each month at St, Mark, 2:30pm as we prepare and serve a meal at Trinity Lutheran and fellowship with them.
•Donate canned food items and clothing – especially men’s clothes and winter gear
WomenSafe Inc.
Project Leader: leestone999@gmail.com
We provide on-going support to this agency because of the important work that they do in Northeast Ohio serving as a FREE & confidential emergency shelter and resource center to people experiencing domestic violence in their home or dating relationship as well as to victims of sex trafficking. We agree with WomenSafe that no one should need to live in fear.
Volunteer Opportunities
•Donate items that are frequently on WomenSafe’s “wish list”, such as: underwear, paper products, and cleaning products and seasonal requests like gifts for Easter baskets and Christmas stockings for the children who are staying at the Green House.
•Volunteer to work a shift at WomenSafe’s Resale Shoppe on Chillicothe Rd.
