St. Mark Picnic 2018

On June 3, 2018,  the members of St. Mark met in our sanctuary for one service at 10:am. The sanctuary was full as our voices razed the roof in song and we as brothers and sisters in Christ participated in the Sacrament of the Altar (Communion). June 10, 2018 – SUMMER SCHEDULE BEGINS

 Summer Worship Schedule  Beginning June 10, there will be two worship services each Sunday.  8:15 a.m. will continue to be the  traditional Lutheran Litugical  service;   9:45 a.m. will alternate between The Gathering (Hymns and Contemporary “Praise” Music) and the contemporary service (Contemporary “Praise” Music).    The 9:45 a.m. service on  June 10 will be the  contemporary format 

Clayton Heuer – New Organist at St. Mark

October saw major change in the music ministry at St. Mark. Longtime organist Hildred Tornberg stepped down from her position as organist at St. Mark. Hildred will still direct the choir. St, Mark is pleased to announce that member Clayton Heuer has assumed the position of organist. Clayton is the son of Don and Carolyn Heuer, members of St. Mark. The weekend ending on Sunday Sept 24, was a busy time at St. Mark. Hildred Tornberg, the longtime church organist retired from playing the organ. Hildred will still direct the choir. Carducci – Shulman Wedding at St. Mark

On May 27th Caitlin Carducci and Dennis Shulman we’re married at St Mark.  Caitlin is the daughter of Joseph and Charlotte Carducci. Their reception was held in fellowship hall. The Carduccis are members at St. Mark and the entire congregation wishes the newlyweds and their families God’s blessings. Happy Birthday St. Mark

On January 29, 2017 we celebrated everyone’s birthday at St. Mark. We  received Communion on a one service Sunday .Following theservice we had a birthday party potluck in fellowship hall. Each person at the party had to sit at the table that aligned with their birthday month. This was a great way to meet new people in the congregation.  

St. Mark Handbell Quartet

On January 8, 2017, the St. Mark Handbell Quartet played “Christmas Love and Joy” arr. by Valarie Stephenson at all three worship services. The quartet is a a subgroup of the full handbell choir. Directed by Leah Spisak, the handbells  bring their special music to St. Mark many times during the year. If you would like to join our handbell choir, contact Leah by calling the church office at 440-729-1668.

2016 Children’s Christmas program
