August Free Community Lunch

Who doesn’t like cookouts? The August St. Mark Women’s league’s monthly free community lunch featured hamburgers, hot dogs, coleslaw. mac and cheese, cake, and ice cream bars! Once again, the Chesterland and surrounding community is served by these awesome women. Meals were made to go for those that had someone at home who couldn’t make it in person. One of our ladies delivered lunches to our shut-ins. It is the hope of St. Mark that as we meet the needs…

Thank You Lutheran East High

St. Mark along with Trinity Lutheran in Ohio City hosts a monthly meal for those in need on the third Saturday of every month. Last Saturday, August 20, we were joined by students and faculty from Lutheran East High School, In addition to the delicious pulled pork sandwiches made by the St. Mark Women’s League, the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST WAS PROCLAIMED , both in word and by tracts given out by Trinity members.

Free Lunch and games

Wednesday, May 25th was a busy day at St. Mark!! The monthly free community lunch hosted by our Women’s League featured a barbecue with grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. Many people from the community attended, families, seniors, moms, and daughters, the fellowship was special. Speaking of fellowship, our fellowship board hosted our first game night in the fellowship hall on Wednesday evening. Card and board games were enjoyed by all, as well as desserts and popcorn.

November was Busy at St. Mark

November was busy at St. Mark. Our Women’s League “Gift of the Magi” Boutique turned our hallways into a wonderland of Christmas gifts many handmade by church members and local merchants. The Box of Chocolate Concert Series, an outreach event, proclaimed the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST, in word and song a the “Friends” Gospel Quartet entertained and evangelized the audience Our monthly community free lunch was held inside for the first time since the pandemic started and was enjoyed…

February Community Lunch

On February 24, the Women’s League at St. Mark hosted their monthly free community lunch. Due to Covid restrictions, the lunches have been served in, “drive-through” style. This month’s fare included corn chowder, sweet bread, and fruit cocktail. The lunch was served from 11 am to 1 pm. During Lent St. Mark has a Wednesday 11:30 am Lenten service as well as a 7:30 pm Lenten service. Many of the people that attended the 11:30 am service enjoyed a “take…

2020 Annual Women’s Luncheon

On January 18, 2020, the women of St. Mark braved the icy, snowy, rainy weather to attend the annual women’s luncheon. This year’s venue was St. Denis golf course in Chardon Ohio. An interesting program about “Oils of Ancient Scripture” by St. Mark member Marti Jacobson and her associate Stacey Kelly, representing Young Living Consultants, an essential oils distributor, was enjoyed by all.

December Community Lunch

On the last Wednesday of each month St. Mark hosts a delicious lunch for all that wish to attend at a special price. FREE !! Gift of the Magi Boutique 2019

The Ladies at St. Mark transformed the hallways, library and fellowship hall into a magical Christmas boutique. On Friday and Saturday on the second weekend in November 2019. Christmas shoppers from Northeast Ohio, gathered at St. Mark to purchase beautiful, unique handcrafted items, from Christmas trees made from old hand saws to warm knitted hats and scarfs. St. Mark September Rewind

September was a busy month at St. Mark. After Labor Day we resumed our 3 services, Sunday 8:15 AM, 9:45 AM, and 11:00 AM.  Vicar Chris Ryan had his official installation at St. Mark on September 8th. New Member Welcome Breakfast

On Sunday, July 28, 2019, St. Mark welcomed nine new members into their fellowship. They were recognized at the 9:30 service and were treated to a breakfast provided by the St. Mark Women’s league. On the last Wednesday of EVERY month St. Mark hosts a community free lunch for the communities surrounding St. Mark. May’s lunch featured a cook-out with hamburgers and hot dogs prepared on the St. Mark Grill at the entranceway to the church. Fellowship hall featured additional goodies, potato salad, watermelon and cookies baked by the St. Mark members.
