St. Mark 2016 Vacation Bible School

St. Mark Vacation Bible School 2016 (VBS) took place from July 25th thru July 29th. 55 plus kids enjoyed the theme “Barnyard Roundup” in the St. Mark Sanctuary. The entire St. Mark campus was turned into a Barnyard, sans the smell. Volunteers from the St. Mark congregation plus members of the community helped the children , sing songs, watch videos, hear bible stories, meet biblical characters and pray. Kirsten Zimmerman- Missionary to El Salvador

On Sunday, July 10th, Kirsten Zimmerman addressed the congregation of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Chesterland about her work at Love & Hope Children’s Home in Santa Tecla, El Salvador. St. Mark serves at Building Hope in The City

On April 30,2106 a group of adults and youth boarded the St. Mark bus, soon to be know as Prayerforce  One,  and headed to downtown Cleveland to Building Hope In the City, an outreach to the community by Trinity Lutheran Church. St. Mark members cooked home made meatloaf and brought the meatloaves to the church. Reaching out to Geauga County’s Children

St. Mark  members have filled 125 Easter Baskets and delivered them to Geauga County Family Services to show the love of Christ to children in Geauga County. Each of these baskets was filled by individual members of St. Mark and brought to the church. St. Mark members mission in Haiti

  St. Mark members, Lee Stone and Jackie and Mark Rychel have traveled to Haiti to do mission work. They carried  6 luggage bags of 50 pounds each, filled with clothes, vitamins, tooth brushes and tooth paste  plus other humanitarian supplies . During their 12 day stay they will visit hospitals, hold vacation bible schools, participate in feeding  120 needy children twice per week. Haiti mission opportunity

 Ministry In Mission is planning a mission trip to Haiti from Jan. 28 thru Feb.11 2016. You’re invited. Activities will include assisting The Evangelical Lutheran Church of Haiti with their national convention. Serving at Building Hope In The City

St. Mark members and their families had the privilege to serve people at  Building Hope In The City, a ministry at Trinity Lutheran in Cleveland, OH.  The pre-thanksgiving dinner consisted of ham, scalloped potatoes, corn, bread and butter and very special home made apple and peach pies baked by St. Mark member Monica McGurer (20 pies)!
