Lent 2024
The theme of our Lenten series this year will be “Sermons from the Cross”. Each week’s sermon will focus on the words of Jesus as they were preached from his most painful pulpit – the cross of Calvary. New Bible Study
On Tuesday, January 16th, at 11 am Pastor Mark will begin a new Bible Study entitled “Psalm Shelters in the Storm,” a discussion of six Psalms that give comfort and understanding when times get rough. (Especially at this time of year, keep an eye on weather-related school closings. If West Geauga Schools are closed, we also have a ‘snow day.’)

August Men’s Breakfast
The St. Mark monthly men’s breakfast met at Coffee Works in downtown Chesterland on Au. 12, 2023. The accommodations were tight due to the large attendance, but we managed to sit elbow to elbow and enjoyed fellowship and a presentation by St. Mark member David Greishammer. Do You Know your Bible?
At the St. Mark March men’s breakfast, St. Mark member Rev. Ron LePere our guest speaker distributed a handout that said, “Does the Bible Really Say that?” It was enlightening to all about what the Bible really says. September Mens Breakfast
Thank You, Guido’s in downtown Chesterland for providing a venue for our monthly men’s breakfast. And thank you, Versare Café and Market across from Guido’s for providing a delicious breakfast. Hamburgers and The Gospel
St. Mark members loaded up clothing for Trinity Lutheran’s clothing ministry and food staples for their food pantry and headed down to the cul-de-sac in front of the church to serve, hamburgers, cheeseburgers, homemade macaroni salad, popcorn, and cookies to people from the Ohio City neighborhood. Dave Onysko, proclaimed the Gospel and read Scripture to those in attendance. St. Mark serves these people every month on the third Saturday of the month. Join us for a fun rewarding experience.
Fried Chicken at Trinity
On Saturday, July 24, 2021, St. Mark hosted a meal and message along with members of Trinity Lutheran Church on the culdesac in front of Trinity Lutheran Church in Ohio City. The Meisters, members of St. Mark, and owners of Shaker Quality Auto Body and Repair donated delicious fried chicken. Confirmation 2021
St. Mark is happy to announce that Nathan Ryan was confirmed at St. Mark on May 2, 2021. Nathan spoke at both services about his faith and received the sacrament of Holy Communion surrounded by family friends and his fellow members at St. Mark.
