St. Mark 2016 Vacation Bible School

St. Mark Vacation Bible School 2016 (VBS) took place from July 25th thru July 29th. 55 plus kids enjoyed the theme “Barnyard Roundup” in the St. Mark Sanctuary. The entire St. Mark campus was turned into a Barnyard, sans the smell. Volunteers from the St. Mark congregation plus members of the community helped the children , sing songs, watch videos, hear bible stories, meet biblical characters and pray. They  feasted on food like  lambs made from marshmallows and pretzels and sandwiches…

CRUISE IN To St. Mark Chesterland

On July, 16, 2016, a gorgeous summer evening, St. Mark,  Chesterland Ohio, opened its parking lot to  car and truck enthusiasts   displaying  their vintage , Corvettes,  GTO’s , Semi’s,  and pick up trucks . Conversations revolved around carburetors and fellowship as St. Mark’s members put some action into their vision statement “Making Caring Connections in Our Community,” by connecting with  the car and truck loving community in Chesterland and beyond. Kirsten Zimmerman- Missionary to El Salvador

On Sunday, July 10th, Kirsten Zimmerman addressed the congregation of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Chesterland about her work at Love & Hope Children’s Home in Santa Tecla, El Salvador. She told of the challenges and victories of the last 4 1/2 years, and updated St. Mark on the status of the children under her care. Proclaiming the Gospel at the Chesterland Independence Day Parade

St. Mark proclaimed the Gospel in song as our Praise team participated in the Chesterland Independence Day Parade. Our Pastors and members passed out Frisbees featuring the contact information for St. Mark to those viewing the parade along route 306.  Seeing the smiling faces, watching many clap to our songs  made this a fun experience  for all those that participated. June Free Lunch

A Weekend of Fellowship at St. Mark Chesterland

Play Ball, Play Golf, “We all scream for Ice Cream!!” Last weekend at St. Mark started off with a number of our members attending the Lake Erie Captains baseball game. The Captains came up short but the fireworks after the game were spectacular!
